Robert LewandowskiAlphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry are among eight Bayern Munich players that have seen their market value increase as part of the market value update that will also see some shifts in the Bundesliga top 10. Aside from Bayern's treble-winners, Borussia Dortmund's new signing Jude Bellingham, RB Leipzig's in-demand defender Dayot Upamecano and VfB Stuttgart forward Nicolás González are among the biggest winners among over 160 re-evaluated players. Players like Leroy Sané (Bayern), Mats Hummels (BVB), and Max Kruse (1.FC Union) saw their value decrease.

The biggest winner is Alphonso "Phonzie" Davies; he is now the most valuable teenager and most valuable left-back on the planet. The 19-year-old saw his market value increase from €60 million to €80 million—dubbed the Roadrunner by teammate Thomas Müller, Davies has seen an eightfold increase of his market value within one season. Sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has already rewarded the Canadian with a new contract that will pay Davies €5 million a season and run until 2025.

FC Bayern close in on €900m benchmark

Altogether, FC Bayern Munich saw their squad value increase by €50 million; the squad is now worth €885 million and is almost at the €900 million benchmark that only five teams have passed worldwide. A big reason for the increase are veterans Lewandowski, Müller, as well as Manuel Neuer, who, despite being 32, 31, and 34, received a market value plus in the update.

Lewandowski & Co. The most valuable players aged 32 or older Overview Lewandowski, who saw his market value increase from €56 million to €60 million, becomes the first treble-winner, who also won the golden boot in all three club competitions. The only over 32 players to receive such an update in the past was Cristiano Ronaldo. Neuer was also world-class, the goalkeeper's performance in the final against PSG was a big reason for the club's triumph—his market value has increased from €14.5 million to €18 million. Müller, in the meantime, saw his market value increase from €25 million to €30 million, the forward managed 26 assists across all competitions, only Lionel Messi was more productive (check out the full statistic here).

Over in Dortmund, 17-year-old Bellingham saw his market value increase by €11 million to now €27 million, which reflects what Birmingham City received for the midfielder. "Even though Manchester United were desperate to sign him, he decided to join Borussia Dortmund," Bundesliga market value admin Julius Weissenstein said (Username: Savarez03). "Because financially powerful clubs are interested, we updated his market value to reflect what Dortmund paid for him."

Erling Haaland saw his market value increase by €8 million, the striker has, therefore, made up the decrease in value he received due to the coronavirus update. The Norwegian striker scored 44 goals and ten assists in 40 games for BVB and Red Bull Salzburg. As a result, three of the five most valuable Bundesliga players are 20 years or younger—at the very top is Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, his market value remains at €117 million.

One of six players who saw his market value increase by two digits was Leipzig's defender Upamecano. "He is among the most in-demand defenders in Europe," market value admin Martin Freundl (Soyen) said. "His performances in the Champions League were noted around the world and he has now debuted for the French national team. As a result, his market value has increased from €45 million to €70 million." Among the most valuable U21 defenders, only Juve's Matthijs de Ligt (€70m) falls into the same category.

Aside from the Champions League clubs, only four players received an update that was higher than €3 million: Stuttgart's in-demand but currently injured striker González (+€3m to €12m), Eintracht Frankfurt defender Martin Hinteregger (+€3.5m to €18m), as well as new signings Lucas Tousart (+€4m to €20m), who Hertha signed in the winter, and Wolfsburg's new defender Maxence Lacroix (+€3m to €4m).

Bayern's Sané and Hernández with highest decrease

Among the market, value losers are players above 30, who are mostly lost their value because of their increased age. Dortmund's Axel Witsel (-€4.5m to €17m) and Mats Hummels (-€4m to €20m) as well as Lars Stindl (-€1.5m to €5m) and Union's signing Kruse (-€2m to €6.5m) fall into that category. But Bayern's two record transfers Lucas Hernández and Sané, also see their market value decrease.

"The corona crisis has an impact on Bayern's two biggest transfers," Weissenstein said. "In 2019, there were speculations that Bayern would pay in the region of €100 million for Sané, now because of corona and the contract situation, the Rekordmeister paid just €45 million, which can increase to €60 million with bonus payments. As a result, Sané's market value is now been set to €70 million."

Hernández, who joined Bayern in a deal worth €80 million, saw his market value sink from €56 million to €45 million, and the defender is unhappy about his current situation. "It will all depend on the coming season," the defender said in an interview with Téléfoot. "If it remains this complicated, I will have to see what is next." Altogether the Bavarians have both the two biggest winners of the market value update and the two biggest losers of the update in their squad.

The focus on the update was on new signings, changes due to age, players that stood out in the Champions League tournament in Lisbon, and Bundesliga players who are currently part of transfer rumors.
